Painter

I’ve recently had the opportunity to return to a studio space to paint. 

Mainly working in oils and acrylics my practice is rooted in my observations, memories and reactions to my environment. I create abstracted elements from my response to this stimuli,  inspiring me to paint. 

Working from my sketch book of drawings, photographs or collages enables me to continue to abstract even further from my original response, to the point where colour and mark making becomes paramount, instinctive and intuitive.
