JJ Lovegrove is a Nottingham based independent conceptual solo artist with previous support tours including Another Sky, Colouring, Penelope Trappes, Jesca Hoop, Roxanne De Bastion & Then Jerico plus appearances at numerous festivals including the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury,
Barefoot, Deerstock, Dot2Dot & numerous ‘Track Of The Week’ features on BBC Introducing & BBC Introducing stage appearances.
Her 2nd album 'History Is The Struggle Of Becoming' (Out 29th May) Recorded & Produced by Mercury Prize-nominated Ed Harcourt at his Wolf Cabin Studios, blends dark art-pop with spectral textures & showcases JJ’s haunting, almost operatic vocals & fearless artistry. Featuring Ed Harcourt & Tim Smart (The Specials) on brass to really plant the song in the landscapes of Nottingham that helped shape this cinematic D.H. Lawrence-inspired album.
